As small
roasters require relatively small amount of energy in
order to be efficiently heated, we find electrical high
quality heating elements more suitable for that purpose.
By using this method, we benefit many key features that
are not possible with other heating methods in small
size without loosing quality and reliability.
Electrically heated shop roasters are more user
friendly, safer to operate and simple to install. The
even and efficient heating gained from the special made
high temperature metal heating elements that we use,
suites perfectly to the high coffee roasting standard we
require.

Our
roasters can be easily and cheaply installed, especially
comparing to other roasters. The additional costs you
should take under consideration are the following:
a.
Electricity: Some of our roasters
require a three-phased outlet. Additional modifications
may be needed for the voltage properties (see question
#10).
b.
Gas: in case that you purchase a gas
operated roaster, you will need to set a gas source and
connect it to the roaster.
c.
Safety measures: extinguisher, fire
detector – all according to the local fire and
electricity safety standards.
d.
Venting: You will need to install a
suitable chimney for the roaster in order to assure
clean and smoke free environment. Our user manuals
specify the exact type of duct required for the chimney.
e.
Placing the roaster: Depending on its
size, you may place the roaster either on a table,
counter or purchase a professional roasting cart offered
by Coffee-Tech Engineering. Larger roasters should be
placed on the floor. Our user manuals provide additional
information and safety requirements for this matter.

How can I be sure...
Our
roasters are built according to the most common world
standard of voltage (230V @ 50-60Hz). In cases that the
country default standard is different (i.e.: USA), any
qualified electrician can easily make the necessary
modification in a designated outlet according to
roaster’s specifications.
