Coffee-Tech Engineering has always been a technology oriented company aiming at setting new standards in coffee technology and innovation. As such, no wonder we carry the torch in many vanguard tech areas such as energy efficiency, green and clean roasting, roasting software management, drum configuration and the list goes on. We even sometimes write about it - check out our blog.
One of the unique features we incorporate in our roasters is having several thermal delivery methods in one roaster. Solar, for example, incorporates as many as four different heating methods together, in order to achieve the best thermal treatment possible.
Another area in which we invest efforts is incorporating smart and user friendly software for managing the entire roasting process. Solar, our 2 Kg roaster is an advanced, fully automated software managed roaster. Recently we've completed the development of a new software for our commercial line of roasters - Ghibli family, ranging from 15 Kg to 90 Kg.
In addition to our shop and commercial roasters, we pay great attention to home roasting and have created two unique versions of a copper made home roaster, bringing together tradition and technology.
We have developed the following icons in order to simplify the visualization of the feature sets of our products. Below you will find a short description of each of the features. Each product is accompanied by the appropriate set of icons.
Drum Roasting – indicates that the primary roasting method in this roaster is drum roasting, whereby heat is conducted to the beans via the hot surface of the drum.
Fluid Bed Roasting – indicates that in addition to drum roasting this roaster incorporates fluid bed roasting, whereby heat convection is done via hot air.
Conduction – heat is delivered by direct contact between the beans and the hot surface of the drum.
Infrared Radiation – heat radiation relies on optical eye contact between the heat source and the heated object.
Thermosiphon Heat Exchange – heat from the bottom of the drum and steam emitted from the beans tend to move upward toward the relatively colder environment and exchange heat.

Forced Convection – hot air is forced through the beans.
Green Product – indicates that this product excels in its low rates of emission and air pollution.
Multi-Use Filter – filter may be used multiple times as long as user adheres to relevant instructions elaborated in the user manual.
Maintenance Free – this product requires no maintenance other than regular, periodical service and cleaning as elaborated in the user manual.
Low Consumption – energy efficient, low electricity consumption.
Automatic – operation is run automatically and handled by an Automatic Roasting Management Software.
Ceramic Chamber – roasting chamber around the drum is coated with ceramic material to ensure thermal stability and heating efficiency.

Indirect Flame – flame is not in direct contact with the drum to ensure even and mild conduction roasting.
